A busy week filled with environmental activities for Waterways Watch Society.
Values-In-Actions Programmes
We gave 2 Assembly Talks to Whitley Secondary School and Stamford American Int’l School covering 1000 secondary students and 120 pre-schoolers
We facilitated 2 WWE (a learning trail curated by WWS) for Westwood Secondary School at Pang Sua Pond covering 33 students and KRILL programme covering 36 students.
We also conducted 1 VIA programme consisting of both Bike and Foot activities for Springfield Secondary School for 36 students.
Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes
Mr Eugene Heng, CEO of Waterways Watch Society gave a Corporate Lunch Talk to 40 staff from Taylor and Francis. During the week, we met with our sustainable sponsor – Powerseraya; who recently renewed their partnership with us for another year.
Punggol Office’s Updates
Our Punggol Community Branch did 2-weekday duties; painting our storage space, making it brand new again!

-We had an interview with two students from SP Jain School of Global Management. There was one postponed kayak programme from Prudential.
– For the week, we had 3 safety boat supports.
– A total of 34 members did weekend duties for our Punggol Branch and Marina; there were 4 new members doing orientation over the weekends.
-There was 1 sighting on an illegal fishing activity below Sir Arthur’s Bridge and 36 members of the public were engaged on anti-littering.
-The park appeared much less occupied and areas around the F1 and Flyer were quite quiet.
-We had a minor incident where 1 of our participants fell while cycling through the tunnel and gave an elderly woman a small scare. However, the woman’s son used aggressive languages on the participant which upset the participant. The incident was settled amicably.
