“Together for a Safer and Cleaner Marina!”

Dear Friends,

Waterways celebrated this week by appreciating our cleaning contractors with a simple package. We did not forget Migrants Day! Each package included a waist pouch for their tools, a towel, medicated patches & biscuits. It was our way to show how we value this partnership with the workers who work day and night to ensure our waters remain clean for our daily use.

This week also saw a rise in our activities with Schools and Corporates even though just before Chinese New Year. We managed a total of 5 programmes total and 99kg of trash, still quite a huge amount.

We also had the luxury of running 2 Member kayak patrols this weekend.

Even the slight drizzle did not dampen our determination to do the clean-up. Many thanks to our trained leaders who volunteered to take charge and lead the patrol. Despite the reports of a wet weekend, our patrols also managed to head out to collect another sizeable amount of trash. Jurong Lakeside Gardens team picked up 88 kg of trash!
