Dear Friends,
OVERVIEW
“Why still likdat! Lots of public litter!”.
Although a short week due to the Deepavali public holiday, Waterways Watch had a very active week. Coupled with school programmes, corporates and zoom calls, we managed to deliver a total of 5 CSRs (Toteboard, MBS, Maybank & NUS), 3 VIA (Waterway Primary School) & 1 Assembly Talk (Yishun Primary School) for the week.
The state of public littering is not showing much improvement and our three WWS sites picked-up alot this week.
We are not doing enough in education and enforcement and our policies appear to be not effective in changing the habits of still many citizens in Singapore.
Are we failing in this mission? Perhaps we need more forceful sustainable action, starting with the Schools and Community Centres!
Hopefully, those in position of power will listen to our plea.
