Dear Friends,

OVERVIEW

It was a great week. Everyday back to back, 1 school (Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School – 40 students) and 10 corporates (DSTA, Toteboard, Shanghai Looker Industrial Group, Formative Search, Taylor and Francis, MBS, Edwards Lifesciences, Amazon Web Service Singapore, STB, Senoko). We were especially honored to play host to the group of 10 management executives and about 20 of their staff from the Marina Bay Sands. Led by their COO, Paul Town, I am sure they all had a memorable experience with us. Thank you for sharing your lovely brunch prepared by MBS cooks.

Besides a full week of programmes, we organised a members kayak clean-up at Kallang/Marina and also Jurong/Lakeside. A total of 22 participated at Kallang and 13 at Lakeside. Thank you leaders for your effort in organising this. Weekday and weekend patrols including Saturday Pang Sua saw a total of 7 members at Punggol, 13 members at Lakeside, 48 members at Kallang/Marina and 2 at Pang Sua.  As usual, the Garden crew was well represented.

On Wednesday, we successfully re-positioned our container store at Punggol.

All these achievements would not be possible without the dedication and passion of our members. Thumbs Up WWS! Litter collected by all our members patrols amounted to 98 kg and as usual, mostly metal cans (8) and plastic bottles (158). Still plenty of work ahead. Other observations of concern sighted this week includes a foreigner walking his dog unleashed and an aggressive individual smoking and walking around the park. A ‘sleeper’ was also reported to Gardens just outside our back entrance.
