OVERVIEW

We have combined two weekly reports this week due to a shortage of manpower and staff medical leave.

We have three newly created Recycle Bins. These three are to be used only by WWS, not for the public. They are padlocked and the key code has been given to all leaders. After each Members Patrol or CSR, VIA Programme, we are encouraged to sort, wash and bin Plastic Bottles and Cans before placing them into the respective bins. The third Bin- Others is to hold items which we pick up of interest to the public. Things that are unique and mind-boggling- like personal items, household items, toys, accessories, and others. Some examples are underwear, toothbrushes, pots, footwear, wallets, spectacles, credit cards, masks, lighters, key chains, syringes, fishing hooks, idols, cosmetic items etc etc. We need to collect and show participants the types of litter we are still picking up and why we all need to do more to ensure a Clean and Safe Environment.

Summary of activities conducted over last two weeks

In summary, the following activities were done for this two weeks:

We conducted 13 CSR and 7 VIA programme which were attended by 327 participants and 4797 participants respectively, and together they collected a total of 392 kg of litter.
A total of 106 members were involved for CSR/VIA programmes and talks; another members turned up for patrols, administration, housekeeping duties and training
The total trash collected by patrol groups from 115 members was 122.5 kg .
- Boat Patrol. A total of 7 Boat patrols were carried out; 1 at Marina, 5 at Punggol and 1 at Lakeside.
- Bike Patrol. A total of 6 Bike patrols were carried out; 2 at Marina, 2 at Punggol and 2 at Lakeside.
- Pedal boat Patrol. 4 Pedal Boat patrols were conducted; 3 at Marina and 1 at Lakeside.
- New member orientation 17 new members
- Housekeeping and Maintenance 1 member did boat maintenance at Punggol
