Dear Friends,
OVERVIEW
“Catch of the Year”
During our routine members patrol clean-up operation, our dedicated team unearthed a relic from the past – a can of Pepsi Cola drink from 30 years ago when the legendary Michael Jackson performed in Singapore in 1993! This discovery serves as a stark reminder of the enduring impact of trash on our waterways. Despite daily cleaning efforts, remnants of waste from decades ago persist in our reservoirs.
This finding highlights the importance of our ongoing mission to raise awareness about proper waste disposal and recycling. It is a testament to the fact that our water bodies continue to bear the burden of historical litter. As we strive to maintain the cleanliness of our reservoirs, it is crucial to highlight the long-lasting consequences of improper waste management. We believe that by showcasing this discovery, we can engage the community in a dialogue about responsible waste disposal. Emphasising the enduring presence of historical trash serves as a powerful motivator for individuals to adopt eco-friendly practices, including proper recycling.
We encourage everyone to be mindful of their environmental footprint and actively participate in recycling initiatives. By working together, we can ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.
To sum up this week, we wish all our members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! To others, happy holidays! May we all usher 2024 with well wishes, good health and safe journey everywhere. Thank you for your support.

Three cheers to the teachers, students and our facilitators! Young and old, we all must care for our environment. Sustainability is the only way forward.
