Dear Friends,
OVERVIEW
“Not very good behaviour in and near our reservoirs”
This week in our reservoirs, we are very disappointed to report several cases of bad behaviour near our reservoirs, from people day drinking and passing out (photo, left), illegal swimming in the rivers (photo, middle), illegal smoking, and to higher than average cases of illegal fishing in our reservoir (photo, left). Our reservoirs are precious and important and highly valuable to the people of Singapore, and should be protected and respected.
Hence, it was highly disappointing to see these cases of bad behaviour near our reservoirs. This proves to us that education and raising awareness of the impacts of these “bad behaviours” are still highly important in protecting our reservoirs, to ensure the ability and safe use of the area for future generations to come.
