Keeping active and healthy, but at what cost?

Dear Friends,

We are in the school holiday season now, and we are seeing a lot of youths and families enjoying themselves in the parks and keeping healthy! This is a great sight and we highly encourage it. However, with it comes also other things that we need to be mindful of! As much as we are having fun, are we maintaining the space for others to have fun too? Does not look the case from what we see?

We have people fishing at places where they are not supposed to (and on a regular basis), leaving their equipment and mess for others to clear, or even damaging properties – our properties! Smokers and tent pitchers also fill these places, leaving more than just cigarettes around.

We have our companies joining for CSR and we have already collected 218kg over 6 organisations. World Water Day is tomorrow, and we have done a good job as a country for ourselves, but are we resting on our laurels? Who will pay the cost of our irresponsibility?

Special thanks to our admin staff and facilitators involved in RM Junior (Pre-schoolers). The participants are really enjoying our pro-active, hands-on programmes and we are seeing more interest from this group. Start Young, for a better future!
