Dear Friends,
OVERVIEW
It was a busy week for Waterways Watch as we approached the beginning of school holidays. Corporates and School programmes everyday and we had (Singapore American School, Yishun Primary School, Mayflower Primary School, AIMS APAC REIT, Climate Fund Advisors, S&P Global and Ernst & Young)
This week, in addition, we hosted 3 students from NUS at Punggol Branch Office doing a project on water. Our FYP projects with SIT are all set for 2025 and we are waiting for the teams to contact us once SIT is fully relocated to Punggol by Dec. 2024. This week at Pang Sua, we were delighted to be approached by a resident who expressed interest in joining our Pang Sua Team. Hopefully this would be a new trend with the residents there as littering still remains an issue.
The weekend patrols at Lakeside would like to highlight the sighting of cycling in the Chinese Garden and we are concerned that the signages are not too clear and obvious. More enforcement by NParks should be done as it can be crowded over the weekends at the Chinese and Japanese Garden. Spots of littering within these areas are also beginning to pop-up as reported by our Weekly Patrols.
Next week, as we head towards the last week of School, most of our programmes until year-end are with Corporates.
Admin Office is currently working on possible partnership with PUB for the Marina Barrage Visitor’s Centre. Following our first meeting with the PUB Team, we are exploring with them this option.
