OVERVIEW
A short week it may be but we had a pretty busy week.
Conducted programmes for RMJ (K1/K2), Primary and Secondary Schools and Corporate Programmes (two banks- Maybank -60 pax and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation -100pax) had their VIA programmes with us this week.
In addition, besides our weekly members patrols, on Vesak Day we had 11 members doing Gardening in the morning and President Joo Kek conducted a guided tour at Coney Island for 16 members. Member Luke initiated a solo litter pick-up at his son’s football field for parents and had 5 participants. Picked-up over 24kg in just one hour at Sky Park Arena Holland.
Well done WWS! This short week also saw us support 8 Safety Boat sessions for other partners. Outstanding achievement sharing our goals and mission for this short week.
Summary of activities conducted over last weeks
In summary, the following activities were done for this week:
- We conducted 2 CSR and 6 VIA programmes which were attended by 143 participants and 377 participants respectively, and together they collected a total of 410 kg of litter.
- A total of 66 members were involved in CSR/VIA programmes and talks; another 34 members turned up for patrols, administration, housekeeping duties and training.
- The total trash collected by patrol groups from members was 62 kg .
- Boat Patrol. A total of 1 Boat patrol was carried out; 1 at Marina.
- Bike Patrol. A total of 1 Bike patrol was carried out; 1 at Lakeside.
- Pedal boat Patrol. 1 Pedal Boat patrol was conducted; 1 at Lakeside.
