Dear Friends,
OVERVIEW
We have combined two weekly reports this week due to a shortage of manpower and staff medical leave. Our programmes are back in full swing and with March being World Water Day, we will be busy delivering and sharing more of our water story with schools and corporates over the next few weeks.
We also like to wish Hwee Shan a safe and happy journey as she will be working on board a vessel for the next 180 days. Her support in our kayak programmes and training has been most valuable. Thank you, Hwee Shan.
Summary of activities conducted over last two weeks
In summary, the following activities were done for these two weeks:
- We conducted 8 CSR and 5 VIA programme which were attended by 188 participants and 185 participants respectively, and together they collected a total of 257 kg of litter.
- A total of 193 members were involved in CSR/VIA programmes, talks, patrols, administration, housekeeping duties and training.
- The total trash collected by patrol groups from 130 members was 177.5 kg.
- Boat Patrol. A total of 7 Boat patrols were carried out; 3 at Marina, 3 at Punggol and 1 at Lakeside.
- Bike Patrol. A total of 4 Bike patrols were carried out; 3 at Marina, and 1 at Lakeside.
- Pedal boat Patrol. 4 Pedal Boat patrols were conducted; 3 at the Marina, and 1 at Lakeside.
- New member orientation 8 new members cleaned up and carried out the boat maintenance in our Punggol office.
Once again, we thank all members and volunteers, who came for patrol or for facilitating the CSR/VIA programmes, for your time and dedication to the task. We also like to thank all boat drivers for helping out in our roster in February for the Chingy Schedule. Without your support, we would not have been able to achieve this.
