Dear Friends,
OVERVIEW
A Clean and Safe Environment for Singapore!”
It was a quiet week as many were preparing for the long weekend, yes the anticipated Lunar New Year celebrations ushering in the year of the dragon! The activities at the Waterways Watch Society also slowed down for the week. However, we would like to take this opportunity to once again wish all our volunteers, members, staff and all our past and present partners, prosperity and good health and, to reiterate our desire; “Here’s to many more years of progress together. Our steadfast commitment to our goals and mission remains unchanged: fostering a Clean and Safe Environment for Singapore!”
Summary of Activities conducted for the Week
In summary, the following activities were done for this week:
- We conducted 2 CSR programmes which were attended by a total of 32 participants and they collected a total of 35 kg of litter.
- A total of 15 members were involved for CSR/VIA programmes, talk, housekeeping duties and, the total trash collected = 35 kg.
As it was a festive holiday over the weekend, there were no activities or patrol conducted. The members took time to be with their loved ones and friends to enjoy the well-deserved break and celebrate the festival.
Once again, we sincerely thank all members and volunteers, who came for patrol or for facilitating the CSR/VIA programs, for your time and dedication to the task. Without your support we would not have been able to achieve this. Young and old, we all must care for our environment. Sustainability is the only way forward.
