OVERVIEW
“Celebrating World Water Day 2023”
On Saturday 18 Mar, at the PUB Carnival celebrating the World Water Day, our members together with our CEO and President, Mr Eugene Heng and Mr Low Joo Kek respectively were on hand to share with our distinguished VIPs, DPM Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Sustainability and Environment of Singapore, Ms Grace Fu, CEO PUB S.H. Goh and the public. The carnival was held at the Marina Barrage.
Summary of Activities conducted for the Week
In summary, the following activities were done for this week:
- We conducted 5 CSR and 1 VIA programmes which were attended by 132 participants and 52 participants respectively, and together they collected a total of 144.23 kg of litter.
- This week a total of 48 members were involved for CSR/VIA programmes, talk, patrols, administration, housekeeping duties and training
- The total trash collected by the patrol groups was 46 kg.
- Boat Patrol. A total of 5 Boat patrols were carried out; 2 at Marina, 2 at Punggol, and 1 at Lakeside.
- Bike Patrol. A total of 2 Bike patrols were carried out; 1 at Marina, 1 at Punggol.
- Foot Patrol. We conducted 0 Foot Patrol at Pang Sua.
- Pedal boat Patrol. 2 Pedal Boat patrols were conducted at Marina.
Once again, we thank all members and volunteers, who came for patrol or for facilitating the CSR/VIA programmes, for your time and dedication to the task.
