This was a quiet week due to the Chinese New Year Holiday. We didn’t conduct any program and regular patrols were canceled during the CNY weekend holidays. Admin office was open only Mon.-Wed. doing mainly housekeeping and replying to inquiries and some marketing.
However, on Wednesday, 2 members did a housekeeping and equipment check at Punggol Office (see photos). On Sunday afternoon, 9 members organized a foot patrol at Marina and they moved out in 3 groups of 3 people (see photos). They walked from WWS Kallang Office to Esplanade. The park was quite busy with many groups of picnickers in the park. However, there was a lot of rubbish (lots of plastic bags and cans) along the footpath and on the grassland in the park; and due to the strong windblown, all rubbish flying around. There were also plenty of cans and bottles from Benjamin Sheares Bridge to Esplanade Bridge (see photos). In total, they picked up 12kg of litter and 45 masks.
