Dear Friends,
We are so excited that CB is over and we can go back to the workplace in two teams. Unfortunately, we still cannot organise group activities like weekend patrol.
Over the weekend, it was reported by the public that many beer cans and trash scattered around Dragon Boat Beach. This was evidence of partying (see photos). Few benches in the park were not taped-up and some trees may need trimming (Kampong bugis/sports hub area).
At Kallang office, another huge tree trunk fell onto our CIB garden (see photos). Our staff have completed the physical set up in the kayak site and the bike storage side set up and markings. This is for our safe measurements SOP. Our operation staff continued with maintenance work for all our bicycles to make sure they are in workable condition when we resume operation. We have completed fogging at Kallang office. At Punggol Office, weekly maintenance was done by two members. They found the engine of one of the boats was not working properly, however the maintenance service company cannot come during Phase I (see photos). Everything was found to be in order at Lakeside (see photos).
WWS will be placing a Disinfection Chamber at our site office and offered to members, staff and participants (when our programs resume), but on a voluntary basis. If it proves popular, it will be a permanent installation (see photos).
We are pleased to share that two more corporations have invited us to do a virtual presentation over the next few months (BHP and American Express). We are also pleased to share that a partner client of ours DBI is holding a virtual Dragon Boat Race and donating all registration fees to the Waterways Watch Society.
