Due to the n-CoV situations, WWS cancelled most of the events and all weekend patrol activities last week. Many of our programs for the month of Feb. and Mar. have also been cancelled leaving a big negative impact on our finances. We only conducted two Boat Waterway Clean-up programs for 6 pax from UL International and 17pax from Xylem respectively. A total of 28kg litter was collected by these two programs. Other than that, the CEO attended the Asia Pacific Sustainable Development and Circular Economy Innovation Conference. We also had two meetings with RI students to discuss for their research project. For the coming, we will also advise all partners to postpone their activities.
Since WWS was free from programs, we took this opportunity to prepare and plan new activities for schools and wet weather. Carry on housekeeping of premises.
During weekdays, three members did one boat patrol at Punggol Waterways on Wednesday. Punggol Waterway was clean and quiet during patrol. They picked 0.5 kg of plastic and no wild animal was sighted. For Lakeside, two members did some housekeeping on Sunday and one did for Punggol. For Marina, three members did gardening on Saturday and one member housekeeping on Sunday.
