We started the week with a school talk at Chung Cheng High School (Yishun) for 1200 students, and another talk for Woodlands Secondary School (21 students), followed by the WWE at Yishun Pond for these two schools, both got 21 students attended. As for water activities, we had four Kayak Clean-Up programs in total, two for 101 students from OBS, and two corporate Kayak programs for Daimler (46) and Maybank (50). In addition, CEO participated in a panel discussion at the Singapore Youth Water Conference at RI and attended a discussion group session on Marine Trash at NUS together with Lijean.  There was one recce done with new corporate Henkel. We also settled the dragon boat and beach clean-up program dates with AstraZeneca/Singapore Cancer Society this week.

During the week, we conducted patrols in all three branches at Marina, Punggol and Jurong Lakeside Garden, on both weekday and weekend, a total of 55 members turned up for duty, including 11 new members doing orientation (see photos).  Welcome back Chia Chia on summer vacation from Beijing University.

All decorations for National Day have been put-up.

A total of 25 anti-littering engaged and one fisherman (foreign) engaged upstream Sungei Kallang. We are concerned with the amount of litter still sighted and collected even at Punggol Waterways. The litter may be due to post NDP Celebrations based on our sightings. Most are beer bottles, can drinks and of course plastic origins. Total litter collected this week at Marina- 61kgs.
