It has been a relaxing start of a new year in 2019. This week, we had no programs but only our weekly patrols in both Marina and Punggol. This weekend, we had 2 boat and 1 bicycle patrol in Marina and 2 boat patrols in Punggol. We had four new members at Kallang and two at Punggol doing their first orientation. In addition, we had our first kayak patrol of the year on Saturday. There were 6 safety boat duties done this week. Waterways Watch Society would like to recommend that NEA sends a strong reminder to all stakeholders around Marina Bay eg MBS, Fullerton Hotel, May Bank on the littering and smoking policy. Of late over 50% of such engagement are employees of such corporates. Just this week, one smoking and one littering individuals engaged were employees of MBS and Bank of America.
