Dear friends,
We ended January with a lot of activities. We had three kayak programmes (Damai Secondary – 80 pax, Love Our Waters – 8 pax (20). We also did a River Monster programme (80 pax), bike and foot patrol (80 pax) with youths from Singapore Youth Ambassadors. We also had an assembly talk (1300 pax) with Yishun Secondary School on Friday. Our weekend patrol had a total of 37 members (including 4 new members) present for Marina and Punggol. During our Sunday boat patrol, 2 foreigners (men) were caught fishing at The Flyer. Both ran off while they see us approaching them. While our members return back on the same route, they are not seen in sight. 2 fishermen who were fishing right outside our premises were engaged. They complied. Our members also engaged 6 pax for anti-littering. None were engaged for smoking this week. We have also visited Jurong Lake to discuss our site location and review basic issues of concerns and requirements. This is for our 2019 presence invited by Nparks.
